Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Fool Of The Month

Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Fool

Sin Chew, AsiaMedia and blogjunkie.net quotes Malaysia’s Minister of Tourism, Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor as saying:

“All bloggers are liars, they cheat people using all kinds of methods. From my understanding, out of 10,000 unemployed bloggers, 8,000 are women.”

He said that bloggers spread rumours, disrupt social harmony and many bloggers are slanderous and are cheating people with their blogs.

“All bloggers are not in favour of national unity. Our country has been successful because we are very tolerant with each other, if not, there will be civil war, the Malays will kill the Chinese, the Chinese will take revenge and kill the Malays, and the Indian will kill everyone.”

He urged the rakyat not to simply trust bloggers, and gamble our future away because the achievement we gain in the 50 years of independence is not an easy task.

Wow, he’s Internet-phobic, sexist and racist all at once. Best of all, he’s Malaysia’s Minister of Tourism. They sure picked the right guy for the job!

If you want to write to him, write here:

I think the general public in Malaysia take peoples comments too seriously. A comment was made, so what? How does his comment change anything? Obviously, he doesnt know what he’s talking about. Anyway, im glad he made that comment, it gave me something to laugh about atleast.

I’d like to add that i’ve noticed the level of journalism among the Malaysian press has been deteriorating. Not only do you find reports based on false pretense but ive found quite a few grammatical errors. I’m no journalist but shouldn’t the papers be ‘informative’ and not ‘destructive’ ESPECIALLY in a time like this.

The news is what the Govt wants to suppress, everything else is advertising said someone. This business of not being ‘destructive’ simply means that person disagrees with you. I remember reading a book in high school a long time ago called ‘Straight and Crooked Thinking’ where an example of this was given: “ I am firm, you are stubborn but he is pigheaded!”.
